Chemical Peels

A New Generation Of Chemical Peels For Dramatic Results

Chemical peels are among the oldest treatments offered for skin revitalization. They are effective at reversing visible signs of aging such as deep and fine wrinkles, removing dull layers of skin and restoring the skin’s healthy glow. It used to be that the positive results of chemical peels came with a real downside. The chemical action left the skin scabbed and oozing for a lengthy period of social downtime. Now that’s changed, with our introduction of an innovative new peel technology that is unlike chemical peels of the past.

Sylvana Med Spa And EnerPeel By Glytone—A Winning Combination That’s Unequaled in the Region

EnerPeel is the gold standard for chemical peels in Europe.  Sylvana Institute Med Spa in Frederick, MD was one of the first Med Spas in the country to bring this amazing treatment to the United States. EnerPeel by Glytone is highly effective with a quick recovery time. As a Med Spa we are especially sensitive to your skin’s needs based on type and issues. During your Complimentary Consultation, we will assess your skin scientifically with the Visia Complexion Analysis System and decide if a Glytone peel will achieve the best results for you.

What Makes These Chemical Peels Unique?

Using an innovative technology, EnerPeel by Glytone has created a peel that penetrates deeper without disrupting the top layer of skin. Unlike old-style chemical peels, EnerPeel by Glytone works from the inside out. The result is an even treatment, consistent skin remodeling, fewer side effects and reduced social downtime.

There’s An EnerPeel For Every Skin Type
For Sensitive Skin, EnerPeel By Glytone MA

Our mildest peel helps to gently exfoliate and decongest pores while hydrating the skin. It’s suitable for all skin types, especially sensitive skin. Specific benefits of this peel include reduced redness of the skin and the minimization of mild signs of aging and hyperpigmentation.

For Acne Or Premature Skin Aging, EnerPeel By Glytone PA

This peel offers medium-depth exfoliation. If you are experiencing premature skin aging, acne or mild hyperpigmentation, this is the peel for you. It refines pores and helps reduce the appearance of acne. Benefits include a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, laxity, dullness and skin imperfections.

For Moderate Hyperpigmentation Or Pronounced Signs Of Aging, EnerPeel By Glytone TCA-LC

If you suffer from pronounced signs of aging or hyperpigmentation, this peel targets those problem areas. This peel is used to decrease the appearance of fine lines, scars, coarse wrinkles and moderate hyperpigmentation.

For Melasma And Brown Spots, EnerPeel By Glytone TCA

Also known as a Jessner Peel this is one of the most effective peels available. It’s excellent for all skin types. It smoothes and rejuvenates skin to produce beautiful results when treating mild to severe acne, discoloration, moderate wrinkling and sun damage. It can be applied to the face, neck, hands and upper chest for effective results.

What Should I Expect?

You’ll see a big reduction in fine lines and wrinkles, reversal of sun damage and redness and reduced pore size. Best of all, after the minimal downtime period, your skin will have a healthy, youthful glow.

How Should I Prepare?

We will recommend specific products to prepare your skin and achieve maximum results. You should avoid waxing the areas that will be treated 10 to 15 days before treatment. Avoid overexposure to the sun and make sure to wear SPF as sunburned skin cannot be treated.

Is The Procedure Painful?

During the procedure a chemical solution is applied to the skin to make it peel. Most patients experience a warm sensation that lasts about five to ten minutes followed by a prickling sensation. We apply cool compresses to alleviate the prickling. A deeper peel may require pain medication during or after the procedure.

What Are The Side Effects?

Depending upon the type of peel, you may have a reaction similar to sunburn. Peeling usually involves redness followed by scaling that ends within three to seven days. Medium-depth and deep peeling may result in swelling and redness that resolves in five to seven days.

Aftercare Treatment

It is important to wear sunscreen after a chemical peel since the new skin is fragile and more susceptible to sunburn. Avoid facial scrubs, rubbing or scratching your skin and avoid sun exposure for two weeks after your peel. Do not wash your face for twelve hours after treatment.

Combinations And Alternatives: Related Sylvana Procedures

EnerPeel chemical peels are often paired with a skin resurfacing Dermaplane treatment. Preparing the skin with a Dermaplane treatment or other enhanced exfoliation leads to even better results from your chemical peel! The peel is not just for your face! EnerPeel can be applied to other areas including your hands to reduce the give-away signs of aging. If you desire a similar but more aggressive treatment we offer a Pearl Laser treatment that is three to five times more intense than our chemical peels.
